Responsibilities & Job Duties
As a technician at Winn Volkswagen, you’ll help serve our customers by providing accurate diagnostics and quality auto maintenance and repair for our discerning customers. Some of the things you’ll be responsible for include:
- Receiving repair orders from dispatchers and bringing vehicles into the service stall.
- Performing repairs with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnosing the source of any malfunctioning vehicles
- Communicating with the Parts Department to obtain components.
- Advising service advisors if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the allotted time.
- Documenting all work performed.
- Road testing vehicles to ensure repairs have been completed and vehicle performance is restored.
- Attending training classes.
- Ensuring that customer vehicles are kept clean and returned in a better condition than they were received.
- Understanding all federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair work.
